Lester’s Arcade Beta 2.12: Chikun, the Way He Was Drawn

Chikun’s Escape gets a brand-new 3D Chikun built from the original art, and the “Let’s Get Lit!” intro plays on every run. Plus cleaner links and a sharper Hard Money Heroes world.

Chikun looks like Chikun again. Beta 2.12 replaces the character in Chikun’s Escape with a new 3D model built straight from the original artwork, and brings back the “Let’s Get Lit!” intro on every run. Your Ranked rules, boards and scores are exactly where they were.

Chikun’s Escape

  • A new Chikun, made from the original art. The red crest, the green glare, the black coat with its red lining and the chunky boots now come from one detailed 3D model, so the hero you fly matches the poster.
  • Every move redrawn. Running, flapping, gliding, the near-miss flourishes, the deaths and the hats were all rendered again from the new model, on phones and desktops alike.
  • “Let’s Get Lit!” on every run. The intro used to play once and then skip straight to the countdown. It plays at the start of every run now, it is shorter and tighter, and you can still skip it with a tap or Space. A setting keeps the countdown only, if you prefer.

Hard Money Heroes

  • The Scrypt Bayou north gate looks like a gate. It used to draw as a pale see-through column; it is now a run of field-gate panels on its bridge deck, like the gate at Halving Farms.
  • Behind the scenes, every world scene in our visual checks now matches the current map, so art changes get caught the moment they land.

Around the arcade

  • Links with a trailing slash work. A journal article, a game page, Scores, Profile or Settings opened as …/ used to land on “Page not found”; they now take you to the page.
  • Quieter game pages. Hard Money Heroes no longer logs a harmless security notice in the browser console while it loads its art.

What didn’t change

Every Ranked rule and board is as it was: Hard Money Heroes r2, Chikun’s Escape course four, STACKED Hammer 2.0, and Tower of Power stays Free to play. The new Chikun is artwork only: his hitbox, the course and the scoring are untouched, so every past run and ghost still counts.
