Lester’s Arcade Beta 2.11: The Tune-Up

No new rules, no new boards. Beta 2.11 fixes, calibrates and speeds up every cabinet and every page: lighter phones, fewer stalls, cleaner menus.

Beta 2.10 was the big one. Beta 2.11 is the tune-up. We went through every page and every cabinet looking for bugs, rough edges and wasted work, and fixed what we found. Your Ranked rules, boards and scores are exactly where they were.

Around the arcade

  • The market strip moves on phones now. It used to open folded on small screens; it scrolls everywhere, and the Markets button folds it to one line if you prefer.
  • What’s new on the floor says what’s new. The home page lists the most impactful recent upgrades for each game, not one line apiece.
  • Cleaner cabinet cards. The “Free”, “Ranked on testnet” and “Touch” tags under each game are gone; the cards say what the game is.
  • STACKED’s Ranked banner is its own picture. The old one read as a copy of the Free banner.
  • Settings has a way in for everyone, from the footer and the guest menu, and its cards say what is true today.
  • Films stay still on phones until you press play, which saves a few megabytes on a mobile connection. On a desktop they play as before.
  • The journal labels its versions as betas, shows the newest release as “The latest update”, and carries the current key art.

Hard Money Heroes

  • The Liquidator keeps one body: no more flicker between a see-through sprite and his 3D form, and his 3D death plays.
  • The dash trail no longer draws a second body behind the hero.
  • Reduced motion is honoured without dropping the game into the phone tier: the shake, hit-stop and haptics calm down; the detail stays.
  • Phones get half-size district boss pages, and the game writes far less to the page every frame.
  • A lost connection or a stuck load says so instead of waiting on a 45-second timer.

Chikun’s Escape

  • A drawing error in one art kit can no longer end a run.
  • Phones decode about a quarter of the character art they did (152 MB down to 43 MB), and a phone held sideways no longer loads the big desktop pages.
  • Old ghost records stop piling up in storage.
  • The intro can be skipped on the countdown, keyboard players get keyboard copy, and there is a “Replay intro” setting.
  • Smaller fixes: the streak line after midnight, stale results after an unfinished run, the AHEAD label and the landscape text sizes.

STACKED

  • A single drawing error used to freeze the board; the game keeps going now and tells you if it has to stop.
  • A submission problem is reported on the results screen, where you are looking.
  • The Hammer key refuses Alt and Ctrl, lets Tab move on, and moves itself if a rebinding takes it.
  • Left-handed phone layouts show the Hammer’s refusal notice on the board.
  • Two players on one device: HOLD and NEXT carry the colour-blind marks, and the mempool keeps its hatched look with marks on.

Tower of Power

  • The way in now looks and feels like the other cabinets: the same mode cards, the same fighter card, and banners that keep their shape on a phone.
  • Loading has a watchdog and an error panel with Retry; a stalled download no longer waits forever.
  • The physics engine streams as a separate file instead of a 4 MB blob inside the script, and a new run restarts in place instead of reloading the cabinet.
  • Paused, on the Begin card and on Results, the tower stops rendering: phone idle load fell by about two thirds.
  • Safe-area insets for notches, larger floor text, and the touch copy names the Dodge button.

What didn’t change

Every Ranked rule and board is as it was: Hard Money Heroes r2, Chikun’s Escape course four, STACKED Hammer 2.0, and Tower of Power stays Free to play. Nothing in this update touches your past scores or achievements.
